"Look to The Sky" by Todd Mossman

Gesso, acrylic, polymer, oil crayon, polyurethane and clear wax. From the Artist: "My grandmother kept me any chance she could and we would run all over and visit with aunts or grocery shop .. we didn't care where we went as long as we could hang out together. We understood each other very early on .. she always spoke with me as you would another adult. And this was a lifesaver. I wasn't maybe as normal as other kids and she didn't just see that, but she nurtured it. My grandfather (her father) had been the one to send over the books and he treasured education and any kind of learning. And he would support anything for the kids as long as it was educational. No junk allowed. But my grandmother and I would sneak off to the grocery and buy The Enquirer and even worse The Star .. and we'd hide them to read out back on the porches with the dog and the honeysuckles. So the title 'Look to the Skies' refers to long summer days reading over rag mag stories of UFOs and anything else that would entertain us."
